I don’t love you any less. Things changed, I changed.
The wind gust comes through with moisture from the rain. A kiss of fall on my morning, mourning face. I miss summer, I miss spring, but this is my favorite season. Right before fall. I think of going back to school, new pens and notebooks, a new book bag to carry my nonsense. I always missed school, when school ended, Im lonely again.
Every last day of school, I have cried. I come home alone, to my loving parents. I go to my room, all my things are untouched and unshared. Its quiet. And I cry.
Summer comes in a rush of hoping desperately to see a friend, my cousins, my nieces, anyone. I am thirsty to socialize even if they’re my enemy because it is so lonely, being without a sibling.
I have sleepovers and see friends and the joy is so fleeting, the joy stings.
Now, it is before autumn. Everything is warm and the breeze is school. One more thunderstorm and you know summer is gone.
At least now, in my comfy cozy home, I am not alone.
